Bought our VW camper from South Coast Campervans April ‘19. Having had it a few months, done a few trips and compared it to other conversions. It’s clear that this was a quality build. We are really loving our van. The owner of the business makes sure he has sorted details to ensure you are happy. We have not had any problems but I get the impression that if we did it would get sorted without question. Some companies seem to over inflate their prices for vans. It’s not the case here particularly in the south east. Really chuffed. If you decide to go for it, I’m confident you won’t look back.

If you’re looking for a VW campervan either to be converted or purchase one already done we can 100% recommend Lee at South Coast Campervans. We were given a warm welcome when we first arrived, with a cup of tea to sit and talk about what we wanted in one of his T6 vans. We had initially planned to discuss sourcing and converting a van for us, however on arrival we fell in love with one Lee had already converted. Just about 12 months since I first met Lee at the point of writing this review. He was busy moving premises and still took the time to show me his demo T6 and answer all my questions (there were plenty). Always happy to field my questions post visit either by phone, text or email Lee is very knowledgeable and lines of communication are always open (even on his family holiday). I am very happy with my purchase, which Lee helped source and organise everything, including the V5 change over to campervan from panel van. He even collected the van on my behalf from his contact up country. Since then Lee has remained in contact and taken the time on a couple of visits to his showroom to speak with my wife and kids. He has given us some great tips to help us on our campervan holidays. Also plenty of ideas to customise the Vans exterior look. We took delivery of our new Candy White T6 camper from South Coast Campervans 4 weeks ago and wanted to test out everything before writing a review. After spending a long bank holiday weekend in the New Forest we can safely say that our new camper is Amazing! The quality of the conversion is the best we have seen on the market and we could not find even the tiniest detail that could be improved. The rock and roll bed is extremely easy to use and very comfortable for 2 tall adults. The pop up roof takes seconds to operate and is definitely storm proof after Saturday nights storm. The side mesh windows let in lots of fresh air and light and give a very generous feeling of space. The fridge is very efficient and only needs to be on setting 3 to keep everything nice and cold. You can fit 2 good size pans on the hob at the same time and the grill oven is very handy. Wardrobe and storage is more than sufficient for all our stuff and we don’t tend to travel light! So many other campers on the site we were on came over to say our van looked incredible and could they have a look inside. From the fabulous Wolfrace wheels, the blue led lighting and the retro VW graphics and all the perfect little touches that the camper has we would both like to thank Lee so much for the 10/10 service, quality, kind thought and professionalism he has showed us. It was worth every penny and we can’t wait to get away again. Many many thanks again Lee.

We were looking for a VW camper when we went to see Lee, we were impressed by his camper and he gave us some great advice about sourcing a van to have converted ourselves. Although Lee can also do this for you. Once we found our van and picked it up, we then talked to Lee about the conversion we wanted. He is keen to discuss the pros and cons of having different things included, essentially you can spec what you want and choose the finishes. With some trepidation we handed the van over to Lee, but we needent have worried as five weeks later it came home, a great conversion, exactly what we wanted. Fantastic stuff, thanks Lee!!

I’d been contacting companies all over the UK to buy a particular set of wheels for my crafter van without success. Lee managed to track down a set and had them delivered to me in North Yorkshire within a couple of days. Don’t know how he did it but really grateful he could. Highly recommended.

Lee at South Coast Campervans is brilliant at what he does. He is such a perfectionist and the attention to detail in every aspect of the job is second to none. We probably made a bit of a nuisance of ourselves, but he never made us feel like that, infact it was like talking to an old friend in the end!
